Your 2027 Medicare Part D Plan Review

At Seniority Benefit Group, our goal has always been simple: to make Medicare easier to understand and help you make confident decisions about your coverage. Since 2008, we've helped more than 20,000 people navigate Medicare, and we're proud to continue providing that same guidance to our clients year after year.

One of the most important parts of that commitment is helping you review your coverage during the Medicare Annual Election Period. Each year, we look at the changes to your Part D Plan and determine whether your current coverage continues to make sense for your needs. If a plan change is recommended, we let you know.

Well, the past few years have become a little awkward...

The Part D Marketplace has Changed

The Medicare Part D marketplace looks very different today than it did just a few years ago.

Independent Medicare agents, like those at Seniority, once played an important role in helping beneficiaries compare, enroll in, and service Medicare Part D Plans. That model has changed significantly.

Today, a growing number of insurance companies offering Part D Plans have changed the way they work with independent agents, becoming Direct-To-Consumer Only.

This means that, in most cases, Medicare beneficiaries must work directly with the insurance company (or Medicare) when enrolling in a Part D plan. It also means that independent agents receive no enrollment or renewal compensation.

As a result, there are situations where we may identify a Part D plan that we believe is a better fit for you, but we are not able to directly assist with the enrollment.

Depending on the plan, enrollment may need to be completed directly through the insurance company or through Medicare.gov.

While these changes have affected the role that Medicare agents can play in Part D, our commitment to reviewing your coverage has not changed.

We believe our clients should still have someone in their corner helping them determine whether their current Part D plan remains the best option each year. Rather than stop providing Part D reviews, we've adapted our process so we can continue providing that guidance in the most efficient way possible.

What does this Mean for You?

Here's the good news: reviewing a Part D Plan is a simple process. We just need to know which medications you take and then determine what your estimated total cost would be under each plan. In nearly all cases, the goal is to identify the Part D Plan that provides the lowest estimated overall cost while covering each of the medications you take.

Because of the nature of a Part D review and the volume of clients we assist during the Annual Election Period, we will not be scheduling phone or in-person appointments for Part D Plan reviews. All Part D reviews will be completed through our email-based process.

We understand that this is different from the way you may have worked with us in the past. However, you do not need an appointment to receive a thorough review of your Part D coverage. Simply provide your current prescription information through our information in-take form, and we'll do the work of reviewing the available Part D options.

Once your review is complete, we'll provide our recommendation by email and give you clear instructions for any next steps. If your current coverage remains your best option, no action required! Your plan will automatically renew on January 1.

If your recommended plan is available on our enrollment platform, we'll give you a video guide and step-by-step instructions for submitting your application. And if your recommended plan is not available on our enrollment platform, we'll still give you a video guide and step-by-step instructions for navigating Medicare.gov.

No matter your situation, you will have everything you need to understand our recommendation, make an informed decision, and complete your enrollment with confidence.

Our Commitment to You Hasn't Changed

The Medicare Part D marketplace has changed, and we've had to adapt our process to reflect those changes. While we wish this weren't the case, the decisions made by insurance companies have, in many ways, forced our hands.

That said, our commitment to you has not changed. We will continue to review your Part D options each year, provide you with our recommendation, and help you understand your choices.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Our Client Service Team will also remain available by phone throughout the rest of the year to answer your Medicare questions and help with your ongoing needs.

The process may look a little different than it has in the past, but the Seniority team behind it is the same. We remain committed to providing the straightforward answers, sound recommendations, and personalized guidance you've come to expect from us.
